Metroon Support

Metroon is a private, local-first multi-model deliberation app. AI citizens examine a question from different perspectives, challenge one another, synthesize a result, and help you reflect on it. Sessions build a personal knowledge graph on your Mac.

System requirements

• A Mac with Apple Silicon.
• macOS 26.0 or later.
• 16 GB of unified memory is the practical floor for a constrained setup. On a 16 GB Mac, plan around at most one small local model and use cloud citizens for the rest. Do not expect a full panel of distinct local models to fit.
• More unified memory is recommended for several distinct local models.
• Enough free storage for Metroon and any local model weights you choose to download. Model downloads can be several gigabytes each.
• An API key from each cloud provider you choose to use. Cloud models are optional.

Please include:

• Your Metroon version and build number.
• Your macOS version.
• Your Mac model, chip, and unified-memory size.
• Whether the affected citizens were local or cloud-backed. Name the provider and model, but do not send the API key.
• What you were trying to do.
• The exact error message.
• The shortest steps that reproduce the problem.
• A screenshot, if it does not expose private session content.

Never send an API key. Do not send a full session, raw model output, or a parse-failure file unless you have reviewed it and intentionally chosen to share that content.

What Metroon does with your data

Metroon stores sessions and its knowledge graph locally. Local citizens run on your Mac. If you choose a cloud citizen, Metroon sends the question and the context that citizen needs to your selected provider under your provider account. The provider may retain that content under its terms.

Metroon's developer never receives your session content. Metroon does offer optional product analytics, off until you choose during setup and changeable in Settings. It carries no session content and no name, email, or account of any kind; events are keyed to a random identifier that belongs to your installation, not to you. The app also contacts GitHub for its signed model registry, configured providers for model lists, and Hugging Face for model metadata and downloads. Those requests do not contain session content, but the remote service can receive your IP address and request timing.
